Charles Fraser influenced many elements of Hilton Head Island throughout the years, and Plantation Interiors is no exception.
Plantation Interiors was started by Mr. Fraser as Sea Pines Interiors to serve the interior design needs of his early villa complexes at the south end of Hilton Head Island. The first location opened in 1972 in South Beach. In 1974 Mr. Fraser moved the growing business to Harbour Town while awaiting completion of the current building on Target Road.
Busy with the growth of Sea Pines and other off-island developments, Mr. Fraser sold Sea Pines Interiors in 1976. The expansion to furnishing villas and homes in new plantations on Hilton Head Island prompted the name change to Plantation Interiors. Through the years, Plantation Interiors has flourished into a locally and world-renowned interior design firm delivering award-winning residential and commercial spaces.
In late spring of 2019, Plantation Interiors was acquired by Amy Dickson, an interior designer and Lowcountry native who purchased the firm from longtime owner Dudley King. Dickson and her husband, Lukejohn Dickson, are also the owners of LaSOURCE Home, a curated kitchen and bath design store with showroom location in both Bluffton, SC and Savannah, GA.
