December, 2014: Interior Design for the Holidays

In anticipation of the holiday season, Interior Designer Hope Hunter of Plantation Interiors was asked to combine her passion for Interior and Floral Design to create a "Holiday Fireplace Display" for the December issue of Hilton Head Monthly magazine.

Holiday Fireplace

To act as a festive focal point, Hope created and placed a driftwood wreath above the fireplace mantle -- conveying a sense of warmth and comfort. The wreath contains vibrant greens including Hydrangeas, Viburnum and Green Grass complemented with a champagne-colored ribbon with black and silver accents.

Adding holiday spirit, a cascade of silk magnolias and spruce clippings were draped upon the mantle. White candles and local cut greenery were added for fragrance and to create volume.
Using live Amaryllis, a handsome boxwood tree with accents of red Hypericum berries was prominently positioned upon the coffee table to add color to the room -- like the festive pillows. The silver, multi-level containers add a hint of elegance and remind us the New Year is rapidly approaching.

In time for the holidays, Hope selected arrangements, accessories and furniture that were in stock and available on Plantation Interiors' showroom.
